Mathematics in Human Society: Shaping the Future

According to Socrates, "the understanding of mathematics is necessary for a sound grasp of ethics." This incorporates the subject's access and availability. When one involves themselves in a society, they are expected to conform to the norms, but not everyone has the privilege of accessing information. The scenarios of unequal access to knowledge will persist; therefore, anyone who is capable of grasping the concept of mathematics should share it with those who are deprived of the opportunity to understand it. Hence the title, Mathematics in human society: Shaping the Future was based on.

The title is an allusion to trends and issues in Mathematics as it aims to shape the future of Mathematics in human society with regard to making Mathematics accessible to different groups of peoples, and reflect critically on issues that Mathematics education are facing in the country.
